Upcoming Classes/Events

Kirtan Meditation -

Kirtan Meditation

Kirtan is a group participatory experience of sacred chanting that will open your heart and build deeper connections to yourself, others and the Divine. This practice cultivates Shakti (energy) and Bhakti (joyful devotion). In India, Kirtan is considered to be one of the surest paths to enightenment. It's fun and anyone can quickly learn to chant.
Come to New Thought Unity Center for an amazing night of devotional chanting. Don’t miss this chance for a dose of the nectar of kirtan to tap into the depths of your own bliss.

IRA Charitable Rollover Extension Allows Continued Generosity

Thanks to recent legislation by Congress, provisions of the Pension Protection Act have been extended, allowing those 70 1/2 years and older to donate up to $100,000 from their traditional and Roth IRA's to charities such as New Thought Unity Center, TAX FREE! The extension is retroactive and applies to distributions made throughout both the 2008 and 2009 tax years. The funds need to be transferred directly from the donor's account straight to the nonprofit organization. See your tax advisor for further details.

Human Experiences: Sharing the Important Events of our Lives -

Human Experiences: Sharing the Important Events of our Lives

We want to be able to share the important life events of the people within our spiritual community.  These events may include marriages, transitions, births, baby blessings, people in the hospital, those on the mend, people unable to "get out of the house,"  or individuals receiving any special recognition at work, school or wherever. In other words, news worth sharing. More>

First Thoughts - There is only one Presence and one Power active as the Universe and as my life, God the Good.
There is only one Presence and one Power active as the Universe and as my life, God the Good.

First Thoughts

We meet as strangers but once, each carrying our own mystery within us. We cannot say who you are.  We may never know you completely. But we trust that you are a person in your own right, a Child of God possessed of a beauty and value that are the richest treasures of the Universe.  So we make this promise to you: We will impose no identities upon you, but we will invite you to become yourself without shame or fear.  We will hold open a space for you in the world and allow your right to fill it  with authentic passion and purpose. For as long as your search takes, you have our loyalty.
